Natural Phenomenon : Blood Rain

G'day Fellas! So today i want to tell you about natural phenomenon, and i choose Blood Rain.

    What is blood rain? Well,while it may sound like you might see as the world ends. Blood rain is actually a term used for a more harmless spectacle which sees red coloured rain falling from the sky. 
It occurs when high concentrations of red coloured dust or particles get mixed into the rain, giving it a red appearance as it falls. The dust can be whipped up from the desert floor by strong winds or storms.

   Eventually the dust will either fall out of the sky due to gravity or will be caught up in rain clouds, where it mixes with water droplets. When these fall as rain, the raindrops can appear red. However, this dust arrives in such a small concentration ,  the color would be unnoticeable when falling in the rain. The only difference would be the thin film of dust on cars or windows after the water has evaporated.

    But,there are various reasons. Around Sahara desert, brownish dust and sand carried by storms mix with water droplets in clouds,giving rain its brownish red color.

 In kerala,red spores of algae called Trentepohlia Annulata got carried by wind and mixed with water droplets,causing blood rain.

While in Zamora, Haematococcus Pluvialis algae got caught in rain clouds got stressed and produced a red pigment called astaxanthin,causing blood rain.
